Karnataka: Farmer grows 25 feet sugarcane crop adopting Israeli technology

In Karnataka’s Nidagundi taluk, Narayan Salunke and his brother Sidduba have astounded locals with their 25-foot-tall sugarcane crop in Golasangi village. By leveraging Israeli agricultural methods, they’ve reaped a remarkable 686-tonne harvest from their 5-acre farm. Their exceptional crop, the SNK 13374 variety, yields stalks weighing 3.5–4kg, a significant upgrade from the usual 2kg. The success is attributed to drip irrigation, organic manure, and consultations with agricultural experts. Intrigued by this, farmers from Uttar Pradesh sought advice from the Salunke brothers, signaling wider interest in their innovative farming techniques.
