ISMA rebrands itself, appoints Mandava Prabhakar Rao as president; Gautam Goel as Vice President
The Indian Sugar & Bio-energy Manufacturers Association (ISMA) rebrands itself, appointing Mandava Prabhakar Rao as President and Gautam Goel as Vice President. Rao, from NSL Group, is an agricultural figure with diverse industry participation, while Goel, from Dhampur Bio Organics Limited (DBO), brings extensive experience in sugar manufacturing and CSR initiatives. ISMA, previously known as the Indian Sugar Mills Association, held its 89th Annual General Meeting, unveiling the rebranding and presenting a vision to address the growing significance of bio-energy in India’s energy transition. The association aims to boost sugarcane yield sustainably to meet increased demands for sugar, ethanol, and related by-products, benefiting farmers, consumers, and the industry.
