Fire breaks out at sugar mill in Maharashtra

A massive fire broke out at Raosahebdada Pawar Ghodganga Sahakari Sakhar Karkhana Ltd in Shirur taluka on Wednesday. The reason of the fire is yet to be ascertained.

According to reports, the fire took place around 12:30 pm today, following which the fire brigade was informed. Soon, three fire brigade teams rushed to the spot and managed to douse the fire.

According to eyewitnesses, a sudden fire broke out at the Bagas depot adjacent to the power generation project. It is being estimated that fire has caused a huge loss. Further investigation is underway. The authorities are busy in ascertaining the loss caused by the fire and the reason behind it.
